worship

“Go into all the world and proclaim the good news”.  (Mark 16: 15)

Central to all activity is worship and service, and from this all else flows.  The purpose for which we exist was given to us by Jesus in his commissioning of his disciples …

Jesus wanted the disciples to teach others what He had taught them –  ways of being and living rather than giving specific details of “what to believe”.  It was about showing love and acceptance to people from all walks of life and bringing the love, grace, and the peace of God to all whom we encounter.

We believe the most effective way of spreading the “good news” is by the examples we set in the way we live and reach out to others. It is about the building of relationships and celebrating that which unites us – our faith, and our love of and trust in God.  This is easy to say but the challenge for us is to build a faith community that clearly demonstrates this to the people who come to us for worship, for activities and for comfort in a busy world where life and faith are often strangers.
