Giving
The parish has a commitment to giving 10 percent of the offerings to missions. Five percent goes to overseas missions, mainly through the Anglican Board of Missions which supports overseas projects; the remaining 5 percent is given as love offerings. These are usually to local or national projects and are distributed by the vestry.
Projects
Projects other than those supported by the Anglican Board of Missions include:
- Sponsoring a World Vision child in Uganda
- Christian World Service Christmas Appeal
- Auckland City Mission (goods and money)
- Christian Community Care
- Anglican Trust for Women and Children
- Local Bible in Schools (goods and money)
- Crisis appeals locally and internationally
- Bible in Schools

Prayer Fellowship Group
On the first Monday of each month at 11am the group meets at Pauline and Wally Taylor’s home (phone (09) 238 5256). They share the latest news of overseas mission partners and pray for their needs.
Mission of the Month
Displays focusing on a variety of missions are set up in the Nora Brown Hall.
Used Stamps
Stamps may be left in the church foyer. These are processed and sent to raise funds for mission work.
Food Basket
A basket is used to collect food items for local community outreach groups at the Sunday services. This forms part of our offerings and reminds us that there are a variety of ways of giving. Many other projects are supported by individual parishioners.
